Chianti Classico “Gran Selezione” 2015

Produced from estate grown grapes coming from a small cru of 2 hectares (5 acres) located in Dudda, Greve in Chianti, in one of the coolest areas of the appellation particularly suited for the production of wines of great structure, concentration and longevity.

Appodiato di Gaville Sillano – I.G.T. Toscana

Wine of great pedigree produced in extremely limited quantity and endowed with all the characteristics that reward extensive cellaring. This wine comes from a vineyard situated near the hilltop town of Gaville which overlooks the Valdarno valley and Chianti hills, at the doorstep of Florence. The town dates back to Etruscan time with surviving structures being a medieval castle and a church from the eleventh century. The area has an ancient tradition of agriculture as mentioned in Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. In this pastoral setting called San Chirico a Sillano lay our vineyards, one of 1.05.19 hectares (2.5 acres) and the other of 0.35.99 hectares (10 acres) in size.

Appodiato di Montepulciano Molin Vecchio – I.G.T. Toscana

Wine of great pedigree produced in extremely limited quantity and endowed with all the characteristics that reward extensive cellaring. The grapes for this wine come from the 5.04-hectare (12 acres) vineyard called Molin Vecchio named after an old flour mill situated on the valley bottom. At about 290 to 320 meters (~1,000ft) in elevation, just outside the town of Montepulciano, this vineyard lays within the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano D.O.C.G. appellation.

Appodiato di Montepulciano Vigneto di Poggio Sant’Enrico – Vino Nobile di Montepulciano D.O.C.G.

Wine of great pedigree produced in extremely limited quantity and endowed with all the characteristics that reward extensive cellaring. The grapes for this wine come from the 1.33 hectare (3.20 acres) Poggio Sant’Enrico Piccolo and the 3.65 hectare (8.76 acres) Poggio Sant’Enrico Grande vineyards. These are situated between 300 and 350 meters (~1,000ft) in elevation just outside the town of Montepulciano (Siena).

 

Appodiato di Montepulciano – Vigneto St. Ercolano – Vino Nobile di Montepulciano D.O.C.G.

This wine, of great structure and concentration, is designed to reward extensive cellaring. The grapes for this wine come from the 1.01 hectare (2.4 acres) vineyard called S. Ercolano at 300 to 350 meters (~1,100ft) in elevation, just outside the town of Montepulciano (Siena).

Appodiato di Chianciano “La Fornace” – I.G.T. Toscana

Wine of great pedigree produced in extremely limited quantity and endowed with all the characteristics that reward extensive cellaring. The grapes for this wine come from the 8.35.40 hectare (20 acres) vineyard called “La Fornace” just outside the town of Chianciano Terme (Siena), at about 280 to 300 meters (~1,000ft) in elevation.
