Carpineto was founded in 1967 in the small commune of Dudda within the municipality of Greve in Chianti. It was founded by Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo who, driven by a strong ambition to produce a Chianti Classico of the highest quality, decided to start this great adventure.
Carpineto products are the result of the use of advanced techniques, based on the science of viticulture and oenology, and a consolidated "culture of the land".
Approximately 95% of the entire production is made up of red wines, and the majority of this is made up of wines that are aged three years or more before release. To date Carpineto markets about 3 million bottles: wines that express the aromas and characteristics of the territory in which they are born, and keep alive and fragrant for many years.
