Spring is finally here, with its scents and warmth. The days are getting longer, the vines are blooming once again, and the light breeze allows us to enjoy a good wine, comfortably seated in the open air. Those scents of March days can be found in full in the glass. Thanks to a wine that is fresh, balanced, velvety smooth and, at the same time, has great harmony and structure. The Dudda estate is located in one of the coolest areas of the entire Chianti Classico denomination. This climate gives this wine the fantastic characteristics that distinguish it.
A happy encounter of Sangiovese with Canaiolo, our Chianti Classico Riserva matures in oak barrels of different capacities and origins for more than 12 months, then is refined in the bottle in environments with controlled temperature and humidity. A process that ensures balance and harmony, smoothing out any asperity and delivering to the glass a full and smooth wine, very pleasant to drink and, at the same time, wonderfully complex. The ruby red colour with very slight garnet hues best expresses the strong anthocyanic concentration of Sangiovese. In the aromas we find all the pleasant spring and floral scents of violets, followed by light spicy notes and, again, raspberry, vanilla, liquorice as well as light balsamic notes that refresh us retronasally.
Chianti Classico Riserva: tasting notes
An intense and persistent wine of great taste-olfactory finesse, which gives the palate magnificent sensations of generous fullness. A warm and, at the same time, surprisingly snappy sip. Our Chianti Classico Riserva, even after long ageing in wood, maintains the varietal characteristics of the grapes of origin intact and evident. It combines freshness and fragrance with a taste-olfactory complexity that also knows how to express itself in the long term.
